Ndejje (Blue) locks out Prisons' attack

An interesting Match Day 11

Ndejje Hoppers edged Prison spears with a one goal win (30:29).This was the best half season game in each fan’s talk, ‘Who would win this game!’ Due to previous Prisons’ performances, all win odds were on their side. However, the Hoppers managed to narrowly escape the angry and hungry Prison warders by 1 goal. Team top scorers: Dominic Akena (Prisons)-6 goals, Ongom Francis (Ndejje)-12 goals. Best player: Ongom Francis (Ndejje)-12goals, 3 assists, 2 steals.

It was miraculous for the ‘Anti-terror’ slogan holders (Police Handball Club) to terrorize the country’s peacekeepers (UPDF) by 3 goals, in a match that ended 30:27. This left them anxious for whoever will fall into their hands in the coming game of the season. Team top scorers: SSemujju Frank Wyne (Police)-9 goals, Chester Alworunga (UPDF)-8 goals.  Best player: Ssemujju Frank Wyne (Police)-9 goals, 2 assists 1 steal.

Ndejje Hoppers still managed a slim one goal win over Prisons in the women’s game that ended 24:23.This was another long awaited half females’ game,  a smooth but tight encounter. Team top scorers: Lamunu Scovia (Prisons)-11 goals, Nakajja and Banji (Ndejje)-6 goals.      Best player: Lamunu Scovia (prisons)-11 goals, 1 assist. 

Nkumba Tornadoes scored 44 goals against Kyengeza’s 29 to also complete the 1st round on top of the women’s league table. It was a smoothly played game, Kyengeza beginning with a lead but soon lost out and the mighty Tornadoes swept their opponents.  Team top scorers: Doreen Ondoa (Nkumba)-11 goals, Bridget and Joyce Namutosi (Kyengeza)-7 goals. Best player: Achola Lillian (Nkumba)-2 goals, 12 assists, 8 steals.  

Uganda police was awarded10 goals and maximum points against UPDF women.The encounter was well balanced until UPDF abandoned the game when their keeper was red carded for a foul on a court player. They had no other replacement and opted to abandon the match.
