2nd Round throw off set for 7th September

With the 2nd round fixtures out, the battle for the league title is shaping as teams make final arrangements and strategies before the scheduled throw off of 7th September. Police Children’s School in Kibuli, the home of Uganda Police handball club shall host all the games of this round.

One should lookout for the Nkumba Vs Uganda Police (women) games as a highlighter of match day one of the 2nd round. All the 10 scheduled match days have great fixtures to look out for, and end with epic encounters including the men’s game of Ndejje University against Uganda Prison (Spears) on 9th November 2019. Winners’ trophies shall also be awarded on the same day.

At the close of the 1st round, Ndejje University (Hoppers) led the men’s table with an unbeaten run and maximum points, while Nkumba University (Tornadoes) also led the women’s table with unbeaten run of 7 wins and 1 draw. The league title can however swing to any direction of the top four men & women teams.

The league, which started on 6th April, is managed by Gowe Services on behalf of Uganda Handball Federation.
